NLC India Limited has bagged the ‘Timely payments (CPSEs)’ award for the year 2023 for its contribution in improving the reliability of e-market practices, said a release.

• The Union government has been awarding companies that effectively utilise the dedicated e-market platform, ‘
• Government e-Marketplace
•  (GeM)’, a national public procurement portal for selling and buying of different goods and services.
• The company, which commenced GeM procurement of Rs 2.21 crore in 2018-19, registered an exponential growth of Rs 984.93 crore in 2022-23. NLCIL director (planning and projects) received the award on behalf of the company.
• The award was presented to the chairman cum managing director Prasanna Kumar  Mottupalli in the presence of senior officials of the company.
