RBI Grade B Exam Pattern
The first step of a fruitful prep for this exam is to become familiar with its pattern. The recruitment of RBI Grade B officers takes place in two stages, which are followed by the interview. Let’s have a look at the RBI Grade B officer exam pattern for the initial three stages:
- Phase I examination
- Phase II examination
- Interview
RBI Grade B is one of the toughest exams in India, especially in the banking sector. Aspirants can also check details of IAS Exam, which has some overlap with the pattern and syllabus of RBI Grade B.

For both Paper I and III, there will be 30 questions and 50 marks for Objective questions (some questions carrying 2 marks each and some carrying 1 mark each). In case of Descriptive questions, 6 questions will be asked, of which candidates will be required to attempt 4 questions (2 of 15 marks each (with difficulty level) and 2 of 10 marks each). In case, candidate answers more than 4 questions in descriptive, first 4 shall be evaluated.
NOTE: All question papers (in both the Phases, except the test of English) will be set bilingually in Hindi and English.
The Board reserves the right to modify the exam dates and time entirely at its discretion.
RBI Grade B 2022 Application Fees
A total of Rs. 850/- is the application fee to be paid by candidates belonging to General and OBC category for RBI Grade B 2022 exam. The same amount is reduced to Rs. 100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.
RBI Grade B 2022 Admit Card
The RBI Grade B Exam Admit Card 2022 will be released separately for both Phase-I and Phase-II exam. The admit card for Phase-II RBI grade B Exam will be issued to candidates who have qualified the Phase-I exam of RBI Grade B Exam.
