Nationality Criteria for RBI Grade B 2025
- The candidate must be a citizen of India,
- or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
- or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement,
- or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) intending to permanently settle in India.
Age Limits for RBI Grade B 2025
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 30 years as of the date specified in the notification
Age Relaxation: Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per RBI rules:

A Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized Indian or Foreign University. |

A Master’s Degree in Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks. |
Number of Attempts
For candidates in the General category, the maximum number of attempts allowed for the RBI Grade B exam is 6. There is no restriction on the number of attempts for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories, as long as they meet the upper age limits and other eligibility criteria.
