RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2025
Understanding the exam pattern is the first essential step towards a successful preparation for the RBI Grade B 2025 examination. The recruitment process consists of two written examination phases followed by a final interview phase. Below is a detailed overview of the latest RBI Grade B exam pattern for all three stages:

The RBI Grade B exam is regarded as one of the most challenging banking exams in India. Aspirants often find overlaps with the IAS exam pattern and syllabus, which can be useful for preparation.
Phase I Examination
The Phase I exam is an objective type test designed as a screening round. The table below summarizes the structure of the Phase I exam for RBI Grade B 2025:

Phase II Examination
The Phase II exam comprises three papers with a combination of objective and descriptive questions, which test candidates’ knowledge in specialized topics and writing skills. The phase II exam is conducted in computer-based mode where descriptive answers are typed using the keyboard. The updated exam pattern is as follows:

For Paper I and Paper III, the objective section includes 30 questions carrying either 1 or 2 marks each. The descriptive portion has 6 questions, out of which candidates must answer any 4: 2 questions carry 15 marks each (higher difficulty), and 2 questions carry 10 marks each. If more than 4 questions are answered, only the first 4 responses will be evaluated.
Important: Except for the English papers, all question papers in both phases are bilingual (Hindi and English).
The board reserves the right to modify exam dates and timings at its discretion.
Application Fees for RBI Grade B 2025
The application fee for the RBI Grade B 2025 exam is:
- General/EWS/OBC category: Rs. 850/- plus applicable GST.
- SC/ST/PwBD category candidates pay Rs. 100/- plus applicable GST.
Admit Card for RBI Grade B 2025
The admit card will be released separately for Phase I and Phase II exams. Candidates who qualify Phase I will be eligible to download the Phase II admit card.
