BHARAT TAP initiative was launched by the Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs at the ‘Plumbex India’ exhibition.

• The aim of BHARAT TAP is to provide low-flow fixtures and sanitary ware at a mass scale to enable a reduction in water consumption at the source and help the country in its water conservation efforts and thereby ensure sustainable growth.
• Awareness generation will be done to promote Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Certified Water-Efficient Plumbing Fixtures to ensure water savings of a minimum of 40%.
• It is India’s biggest standalone exhibition on Plumbing, Water, and Sanitation Products and service. It is a 3-day event started on 12th May 2022 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
