Which of the following statements is not correct regarding the woollen textiles industry in India?
The bulk of Indian wool is of coarse quality used mostly in the hand-made carpet industry.
Rajasthan is the largest producer of wool in India.
Wool has a higher thermal conductivity than cotton.
Wool is the only natural fiber in which the country is deficient.
Woollen Textiles: It is one of the oldest, rural-based export-oriented textile industries of India. India‘s wool and woolen industry can broadly be divided into 10 major product categories: worsted yarn, woolen yarn, wool tops, fabric (woolen/worsted), shoddy yarn, shoddy fabrics, blankets, knitwear, hand-made carpets and machine-made carpets.
Sources and availability of Raw material: India has the 3rd largest sheep population country in the world. The bulk of Indian wool is of coarse quality and is used mostly in the hand-made carpet industry. Hence option (a) is correct. 85% of wool produced is carpet grade wool, 5% apparel grade and remaining 10% coarse grade wool for making rough Kambals etc. A small quantity of specialty fiber is obtained from Pashmina goats and Angora rabbits.
Production Statistics: India is the seventh-largest producer of wool in the world with a global production share of nearly 1.8 percent. Since indigenous production of fine quality wool required by the organized mills and decentralized hosiery sector is very limited, India depends almost exclusively on imports. Wool is the only natural fiber in which the country is deficient. Hence option (d) is correct. With 44% production of wool, Rajasthan leads all states in India followed by Jammu & Kashmir(13 percent), Karnataka (12 percent) Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana (23 percent). Hence option (b) is correct. The wool industry is concentrated in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.Punjab accounts for about 40 percent of wool production units, followed by Haryana (27 percent), Rajasthan (10 percent) and the rest of the states (23 percent).
Thermal Conductivity: The lower the thermal conductivity of the material the greater the material's ability to resist heat transfer, and hence the greater the insulation's effectiveness. Wool has a high specific thermal resistance or lower thermal conductance, so it resist heat transfer and act as a better insulator than cotton. Hence option (c) is not correct. Cotton has a lower thermal conductivity (0.026-0.065 W/mK) than many other natural fibers.

What is wrong with option c. It is correct that wool has higher thermal conductivity than cotton. So it's true but you mentioned it as wrong (incorrect) here.
