47th Khajuraho Dance Festival Begins in Madhya Pradesh

The 47th Khajuraho Dance Festival began in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh.
The week-long festival has been organized by the Culture Department through its Ustad Alauddin Khan Music and Arts Academy Bhopal and will culminate on February 26, 2021.
For the first time in 44 years, the Khajuraho Dance Festival is being held in the World Heritage temple group premises.
The Khajuraho Dance Festival is an internationally acclaimed cultural event, hosted each year since 1975, at the magnificent city of Khajuraho located in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
The festival aims to promote and encourage dance, artists, culture and heritage of India through several Indian classical dance forms like Kathak, Odissi, Manipuri, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, and Mohiniattam.
