The provision for Constitution of Legislatures in states is enshrined in Article 168 of the Indian Constitution. (1) The States of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh, have two houses and in other States, one House. Article 153 is related to Governors of states.
