- Eight people, A to H, are seated in a line facing North, each with a distinct color preference.
- Blue is immediately left of D.
- A and E are neighbors and like Orange and Yellow respectively.
- Neither A nor E sit next to G, who is third right of the Red lover.
- Black is second right of G.
- H is third right of Green and doesn't like Black.
- There is one person between G and B.
- Two people between E and White.
- C likes Purple, and the first person on the left likes Red.
Let's place each based on the rules:
1. The person who likes Red sits first, leaving seven positions.
2. G is third to the right, seated fourth.
3. Black is second to the right of G, seated sixth.
4. H doesn't like Black, thus G's right or the last spot.
5. B between G and Black, meaning G is on the left, seated third.
6. A and E are neighbors. They, along with G in the middle, would lead them to positions six and seven.
7. Blue is left of D, aligned correctly. Green must be one of the remaining seats, but two must separate it from H.
8. C, liking Purple, can be positioned one seat away from A/G or B/H.
Between D and C: Two people.
