Age Limits for the HCS exam: The candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 42 years of age on or before the first day of January next preceding the last date for submission of the online application form. The age for the posts of DSP is given below.
Age for the post of DSP:- As per Haryana Police Service Rules – 2002, the candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 27 years of age on or before 01.01.2018. However, the relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ BC-A/ BC-B of Haryana will be up to 5 years and for ESM of Haryana the age relaxation will be available
Minimum Educational Qualifications for the HCS exam: Candidates must possess (i.e. he/she must have passed) a degree from a recognized University not lower than the degree of Bachelor of Arts/ Science/ Commerce, or an equivalent degree of a recognized University. The eligibility of the candidate for qualifications is to be determined on the last date of submission of the online application form for the Preliminary Examination.
Number of Attempts in the HCS exam: There is no restriction on the number of attempts to appear in the combined competitive examination, provided the candidate is otherwise eligible. An attempt at a Preliminary Examination shall be deemed to be an attempt at the examination, even if a candidate appears in any one paper in the Preliminary Examination, he/she shall be deemed to have attempted the examination notwithstanding the disqualification/ cancellation of candidature.
