Context: Recently, Union Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati will felicitate 75 trained candidates of Project UNNATI under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA.
About UNNATI

• UNNATI is a skilling project to upgrade the skill base of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) beneficiaries.
• Aim: improving the livelihoods of the beneficiaries by providing a skill, either for self-employment or wage employment.
• A family member in the 18-35 age group from the household will be eligible for training under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY).

Target of the Project

• The project will be for 3 years from the year of commencement 
• A total of 2 lakh MGNREGA beneficiaries will be skilled under this project

Eligibility

• 18-45 years of age group adult of a household who has completed 100 days of work under MGNREGA 
• For DDU-GKY, age group of 18-35 will be eligible 
• For RSETI & KVKs, age group of 18-45 years will be eligible.

Key Benefits

• Candidate will continue to enjoy 100 days of work under MGNREGA 
• Candidate will be paid stipend for maximum period of 100 days if he/she has attended atleast 75% of the training classes or course. 
• Skilling program will be conducted between Rural Skill Division of MORD and KVKs of Ministry of Agriculture with MGNREGA division of MORD
