1. Orogenic Forces
2. Epeirogenic Forces
3. Earthquakes
4. Plate Tectonics

1, 3 and 4 only
2 and 3 only
1, 2, 3 and 4
Diastrophism and volcanism are endogenic geomorphic processes. The interaction of matter and temperature generates these forces or movements inside the earth’s crust. The earth movements are mainly of two types: diastrophism and sudden movements. Diastrophism is the general term applied to slow bending, folding, warping and fracturing. All the above-mentioned processes come under Diastrophism. These include: Orogenic processes involving mountain building through severe folding and affecting long and narrow belts of the earth’s crust. It involves intense folding, thrusting, faulting and uplift of narrow belts. They are caused by tangential forces acting on the surface of the Earth. These tangential forces belong to two categories—compressional forces and tensional forces. Epeirogenic processes involving uplift or warping of large parts of the earth’s crust. It is a vertical movement and acts along the radius of the earth. The movements involved are so slow and widespread that no obvious fracturing or folding is produced in the rock. Earthquakes involving local relatively minor movements. Plate tectonics involving horizontal movements of crustal plates.
