In Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today laid the foundation stone of ONGC National Disaster Mitigation Centre & Yatri Niwas in Jammu.
 
Union Minister and LG performed Puja for the commencement of construction work for Yatri Niwas & Disaster Management Center under CSR initiative of ONGC.

• Union Minister said the Yatri Niwas will help in providing accommodation for 30,000 Amarnath pilgrims every year & will be particularly helpful for yatris from weaker sections. Will help in traffic management & ensure a seamless experience.
• This new facility will ease the lives of devotees embarking on annual pilgrimage of Baba Amarnath.
• The LG also inaugurated Prasad cum Souvenir Counter of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board in the departure area of Jammu Airport for making packaged Prasad and other Souvenir available to the devotees.
