Tech major, Infosys has signed Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal as its ambassador further sealing a three-year partnership with the sportsman for jointly developing an artificial intelligence (AI) tool, according to a recent media report.

• The IT player and Nadal’s coaching team will develop an AI-powered match analysis tool, the report also said that the personalised kit will be available in real time to Nadal’s team.
• It said the smart tool will simultaneously track insights from Nadal’s live matches, when he is on tour, along with historical data from his earlier matches, as per the report.
• Nadal has been ranked No. 1 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for 209 weeks and has finished as the year-end No. 1 five times. 
• Recently, Infosys has also launched a Carbon Tracker, allowing ATP players to track and offset emissions from their travel on tour. It is the first-ever sustainable tech in any sport.
