East Bay Expressway, recently been in news, is a part of which of the following dream projects?
Asia-Africa Growth Corridor
India–Myanmar–Thailand Trilateral Highway (Friendship Highway)
China Pakistan Economic Corridor
International North–South Transport Corridor
Gwadar East Bay Expressway is a municipal expressway currently under construction in Gwadar, Balochistan, Pakistan. It will connect Gwadar Port to the Makran Coastal Highway. The Gwadar Port Authority is supervising the project. The project is being developed as part of the "Early Harvest" scheme of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and is part of a wider development package for the city and Port of Gwadar. The 19-kilometer-long six-lane road is the main artery of Gwadar Port, through which the entire traffic of the port will realise the dream of making Gwadar a logistic and economic hub of the region in line with objectives of CPEC as well as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). India has protested to China over CPEC which connects China's Xinjiang province with Gwadar port in Balochistan while passing through Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. The port provides China with deep berthing rights and gives it a safe and shorter passage for oil and mineral imports from Africa and the Middle East. Transport time will be expected to be cut from a month to just a week. It will also give the Chinese navy a safe harbor from where it can exert dominance in the region.
Hence, option (c) is correct.
