Pratyush is India’s fastest and first multi-petaflops (PF) supercomputer

It is based in Pune in Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology.
Pratyush has 6.8PF computational power which is located at two places – 4.0 petaflops power in IITM Pune and 2.8 petaflops power in NCMRWF, Noida.
The term Pratyush means ‘Sun’. Pratyush is fourth fastest supercomputer in the world dedicated for weather and climate research. It shall find place in the ranking list of supercomputers ‘Top500’ within top 30s.
