India’s Yogesh Singh won gold medal in the 25m centre fire pistol event at the Asian Shooting Championships 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

• The Indian shooter topped a 10-man field in the non-Olympic discipline with a score of 573 - 288 in the precision stage and 285 in the rapid stage. 
• Among other Indians in the fray, Pankaj Yadav narrowly missed a medal, finishing fourth with 567 - the same score as Yulianto. The Indian, however, hit 10 Xs compared to the 15 the Indonesian pistol shooter managed.
• The Indian trio of Yogesh Singh, Pankaj Yadav and Akshay Jain also managed pole position in the men’s 25m centre fire pistol team standings with 1704-35x.
