Context: Recently, the Uttar Pradesh (UP) cabinet has approved the notification of the state’s 4th tiger reserve in the Ranipur Wildlife Sanctuary (RWS) in Chitrakoot district.
It is located in the Vindhyachal range in the Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh.
It was established in 1977.
It is the natural habitat of several animals including leopards, sloth bears, sambars, blackbucks, peafowl, and chinkaras.
It does not have tigers of its own, but pug marks of the tigers from Panna are visible.
