3x + 2y = 4, 8x + 5y = 9.

To eliminate x, we must make the coefficients of x equal in both of the given equation.

So, multiplying the first equation by 8, second equation by 3 and subtracting, we get: y = 5.

∴ Solution set is {(-2, 5)}.
