- Together, X and Y can complete 1/30 of the work per day.

- Together, Y and Z can complete 1/40 of the work per day.

- Together, Z and X can complete 1/24 of the work per day.

- To find the combined daily work rate of X, Y, and Z, sum up the individual combinations and divide by 2:

- (1/30 + 1/40 + 1/24) ÷ 2

- The denominator is consistent, so change terms to 240: (8/240 + 6/240 + 10/240) ÷ 2

- Equals: (24/240) ÷ 2 = 12/240 = 1/20

- Hence, together, X, Y, and Z can complete the work in 20 days.
