Abua Awas Yojana is a housing scheme launched by the Government of Jharkhand on August 15, 2023, with the aim of providing three-room houses to the needy within the next two years. The scheme is being funded by the state government at a cost of Rs 15,000 crore. 

• The Abua Awas Yojana is a significant initiative by the Government of Jharkhand to provide housing to the needy. The scheme is expected to benefit lakhs of people in the state.
• The Jharkhand Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, has approved the Abua Awas Yojana, a state-supported housing scheme to build 8 lakh pucca houses for the homeless in three phases at a cost of Rs 16,320 crore.

About Abua Awas Yojana

The state government will spend more than Rs 15,000 crore in the next two years to build houses for needy people. Govt will use own state fund for this scheme. Approximately 8 Lakh houses will be constructed under this scheme.
