The World Red Cross Day is observed across the globe on 8th May to celebrate and acknowldege the volunteers, members and staff who support the people in need.

• The Day also commemorate the birth anniversary of Henry Dunant, the founder of ICRC.
• First Red Cross Day was celebrated on 8th May 1948.
• The World Red Cross day was renamed as the World Red Cross and Red Crescent day.
• The theme of World Red Cross Day 2022 is 'BeHumanKind'.
