Statement 2: Adjournment sine die (from the Latin "without day") means "without assigning a day for a further meeting or hearing". To adjourn an assembly sine die is to adjourn it for an indefinite period. Unlike Prorogation, Adjournment only terminates a sitting and not a session of the House. Prorogation does not affect the bills or any other business pending before the House. This is the same as adjournment. However, all pending notices (other than those for introducing bills) lapse on prorogation and fresh notices have to be given for the next session
