A turnout of 81.10 per cent has been recorded as voting draws to a close in Tripura. That number is likely to go up when the final figures come in. Votes will be counted on March 2.

At least three people, including a CPI(M) leader and two polling agents of the Left party, were injured in separate incidents of violence during the polling.
EVM malfunctions were reported in 40-45 places. Opposition leader Manik Sarkar accused ‘miscreants on behalf of BJP’ were causing trouble to stop people from voting. TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot Debbarma too blamed the ruling party.
The counting of the votes starts on 2 March 2023. All the party gives the nominee’s name to the office, and the last date to withdraw the nominee’s name is 2nd February 2023.
