Retired Army officer Raj Shukla has been appointed as a member of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

• The UPSC recommends candidates to the government for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and the Central Services — Group A and Group B.
• In recognition of his service of the most exceptional order, Shukla was awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal on Republic Day 2021.
• A professional aviator and powerful orator, Shukla has authored close to 70 articles/publications and lectured/participated in more than 180 talks/seminars in India and abroad.
