Three men start together to travel the same way around a circular track of 11 kilometres in circumference. Their speeds are 4, 5.5 and 8 kilometres per hour, respectively. When will they meet at the starting point?

Time taken by them to cover 11 km are 11/4, 2 and 11/8 respectively.
LCM (11/4, 2, 11/8) = 22
(Remember that L.C.M of fractions = L.C.M of numerators / H.C.F of denominators)
ie, they meet after 22 hours at the starting point.
4 km/hr person will go around 8 times. The 5.5 km/hr person will go around 11 times. The 8 km/hr person will go around 16 times.
