The Uttar Pradesh DGP Vijay Kumar has instructed all police officers that public complaints received at the police station level should be resolved within ten days. For this he has also launched a departmental portal and Whatsapp Channel.

• Now the police will update every complaint coming at the police station level on this portal and higher officials will keep an eye on it.
• If it takes more than ten days to resolve any complaint, the concerned police officers will have to answer to the higher authorities regarding the delay.
• On the occasion of launching the portal, the DGP said that the officers will ensure that all types of complaints coming in the police stations are immediately updated on the portal. 
• Also, the phone number and address of the complainant should also be written separately.
