The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad & the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) have joined hands to work together on “Research and Training”. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Lt Gen Daljit Singh, Director General of AFMS and Prof B S Murty, Director of IIT Hyderabad.

• Their goal is to create new medical devices and address health challenges faced by soldiers in different environments. 
• IIT Hyderabad's expertise in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, and Bioinformatics will be used to solve various medical problems faced by the Armed Forces.
• The focus will be on areas like drone-assisted patient transport, telemedicine, Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, and nanotechnology advancements.
• The partnership will also include student exchange programs, short courses for undergraduates, and faculty exchanges.
• This collaboration shows AFMS's commitment to improving research and training to benefit soldiers and their families.
