Indore was awarded as the cleanest city in the Swachh Survekshan Awards 2022 today for the sixth straight year.

• Surat and Navi Mumbai followed in the next two spots.
• President Droupadi Murmu today felicitated the awardees of the cleanest States and cities at the award ceremony of Swachh Survekshan 2022 at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi.
• Indore also emerged as India’s first 7-star Garbage Free city, while Surat, Bhopal, Mysuru, Navi Mumbai, Vishakhapatnam, and Tirupati earned 5-star Garbage Free certifications.
