A can complete 25% of a work in 15 days. He works for 15 days and then B alone finishes the remaining work in 30 days. In how

many days will A and B working together finish 50% of the same work?

- A completes 25% of the work in 15 days. Therefore, A can complete 100% of the work in 60 days.

- A works for 15 days, completing 25% of the work.

- B completes the remaining 75% of the work in 30 days. Thus, B can complete 100% of the work in 40 days.

- To find how much work A and B can complete in a day:

- A's rate: 1/60 of the work per day.

- B's rate: 1/40 of the work per day.

- Combined rate: (1/60) + (1/40) = 1/24 of the work per day.

- To complete 50% of the work together: (1/24) * D = 0.5

- Solve for D: D = 12 days.
