The US State Department imposed sanctions on a Chinese research institute and several companies, claiming they have been involved in supplying Pakistan’s ballistic missile program.
Along with the institute, Washington imposed sanctions on three more Chinese entities, one Pakistani company, and one Chinese individual for their involvement, State Department said in a statement.
State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller announced that sanctions have been levied against the Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machine Building Industry (RIAMB), which has collaborated with Pakistan’s National Development Complex (NDC).
The sanctions are under the missile sanctions laws, specifically the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the Export Control Reform Act (ECRA). R
