Fresh fruit contains 68% water and dry fruit contains 20% water. How much dry fruit can be obtained from 100 kg of fresh fruit?

This type of sum can be easily done with the help of ratio, no big calculations are required.

In 100 kg Fresh Fruit => Water = 68 kg

And Solid = 32 kg

As we know that the solid will remains the same quantity wise.

So When we talk about Dry Fruit;

Water : Solid

20 : 80

1 : 4

Here 4 -------------> 32 kg

1 -------------> 32 kg/4 = 8 kg

5 -------------> 5*8 = 40 kg
