Chief Minister (CM) Nitish Kumar inaugurated the National Dolphin Research Centre (NDRC) here during an event held at Gyan Bhawan.

"The NDRC is the first of its kind not only in India but also in entire Asia,” said Prem Kumar, state minister for the department of environment, forest and climate change (DoEFCC), who was also present at the inauguration function.

• India’s first National Dolphin Research Centre (NDRC) was inaugurated in Patna, Bihar.
• The first of its kind in Asia, serves as a hub for scientists and researchers dedicated to the study of Gangetic Dolphins.
• It aims to boost conservation efforts for Gangetic Dolphins, India’s national aquatic animal.
