Direction: Read the given information and answer the following questions:
Eight persons namely A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting around a circular table, some of them facing outside and some of them facing inside the circular table. Note: No two-person facing the same direction sits together.
A sits second to the right of B who is an immediate neighbor of C. D is an immediate neighbor of E who sits opposite to B. H does not face outside the circle. D is neither an immediate neighbor of A nor sits opposite C.
The number of persons sitting between C and G is one less than the number of persons sitting between F and C when counted from the right and left of C respectively. C is not immediate neighbour F.
What is the position of G with respect to one who is second to the left of E?
Fourth to the right
Fourth to the left
Third to the right
Third to the left
Both A and B
- Let's solve the seating arrangement:
- Direction Constraint: No two people facing the same direction sit together.
- A sits second to the right of B, and B is a neighbor of C.
- E is opposite B, with D as E's neighbor.
- H faces inside.
- D isn't adjacent to A and doesn't sit opposite C.
- The seating between C and G is one less than that between F and C, from C's right and left, respectively.
- F isn't C's immediate neighbor.
- These clues establish a seating order:
- The right setup has B, C, and E with others fitting around. Positioning A and H aligns the rest accordingly.
- Compute G's relative position:
- E's second-left is one position right of C (E-> opposite of B, neighbor of D).
- From here, determine that G is fourth left, and also the fourth right.
The position options are:
- Fourth to the right
- Fourth to the left
Since G fulfills both directions, both are correct. So, option:5 (Both A and B) is correct.
