In a class of 45 students. 40% are girls and the remaining are boys. The average marks of the girls is 64 and that of the boys is 60.

- 40% are girls: 0.4 x 45 = 18 girls.

- Remaining, 45 - 18 = 27 are boys.

- Girls' average marks = 64.

- Boys' average marks = 60.

- To find the class average:

- Total marks by girls = 18 x 64 = 1152.

- Total marks by boys = 27 x 60 = 1620.

- Total marks by all = 1152 + 1620 = 2772.
