- The total simple interest from both investments after 2 years is Rs 3,344.

- Let the amount invested at 10% be Rs X. Then, the amount at 12% is Rs (15,000 - X).

- Interest from Rs X at 10% for 2 years: \(X \times 0.10 \times 2 = 0.2X\)

- Interest from Rs (15,000 - X) at 12% for 2 years: \((15,000 - X) \times 0.12 \times 2 = 3,600 - 0.24X\)

- Total interest equation: \(0.2X + (3,600 - 0.24X) = 3,344\)

- Simplify to find X: \(3,600 - 0.04X = 3,344\) which gives \(0.04X = 256\), so \(X = 6,400\).

- Correct Answer: Option 2 - Rs 6,400
