- Let the distance from the house to the office be \(d\) km.

- Time taken to travel to the office = \(d/10\) hours.

- Time taken to travel back = \(d/15\) hours.

- Total distance = \(2d\).

- Total time = \(d/10 + d/15\).

- Combine the times: \(\frac{d}{10} + \frac{d}{15} = \frac{3d + 2d}{30} = \frac{5d}{30} = \frac{d}{6}\) hours.

- Average speed = Total distance / Total time = \(2d / (d/6) = 12\) km/h.

- Option:2 is 12 km/h.
