    What is PU UG Law Exam?

    The Panjab University conducts PU Under Graduate Law Entrance Exam for admissions to five-years Integrated course offered at its campus and constituent law colleges. The entrance exam is conducted in a pen-paper based test mode and the question paper is based on legal aptitude topics. The test centres for PU UG Law exam will be in Chandigarh only. The final admissions will be based on the PU UG Law merit list, and the candidates meeting the qualifying cut off marks i.e. 15% of the total marks (10% for SC/ ST/ Backward Class/ PwD category candidates) will be shortlisted. 

    PU UG Law 2021 Eligibility Criteria

    The candidates seeking admissions to five-year integrated law courses offered through the PU UG Law exam should fulfil the eligibility criteria as under:

    • Candidates who have passed or appearing for Class 12th qualifying examination or equivalent from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other state/ national board of education in India.
    • As per the guidelines of the Bar Council of India (BCI), there is no upper or lower age limit for admissions to UG law courses.

    For the three-year LLB course, the Panjab University conducts a separate entrance exam called PU LLB Entrance Exam. 

    PU UG Law 2021 Exam Day Guidelines

    Candidates taking the exam for BA/Bcom LLB admissions should be careful of few things on the exam day as under: 

    • Candidates should reach the test centre at least an hour before the exam timings i.e. by 9 am so that exam officials can check the admit cards and other documents.
    • Candidates should carry their own pen i.e. black ink gel pen and an HB pencil to mark answers on the OMR sheet. 
    • They should avoid taking any notes, papers or calculators inside the examination hall. The university will provide logarithmic tables for the test takers. 
    • Also, taking mobile phones, Bluetooth device or any other equipment is not allowed in the examination, if candidates will carry such items then he/she will be disqualified from the exam.
    • Candidates should follow the guidelines of the exam centre officials while taking the exam. And no candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before 11:30 am.
