Logical Reasoning Preparation for SSC CPO- General Tips

As you must be aware, the reasoning is a comparatively time-consuming section of the SSC CPO Exam.. So, here are some tips and strategies that will help you to solve this section easily in less time.

SSC CPO EXAM -  Reasoning Easy Questions
Get an idea of the comparatively easier questions asked in the SSC CPO reasoning section and preparation tips for them.

(A)Classification & Analogies

You are bound to face at least one question based on Classification and Analogies.
These are comparatively easy and less time-consuming.
So, you should practice them well to solve them incorrectly and secure maximum marks.
This is one of the easiest topics asked from the Reasoning Section.
The questions asked on the Classification topic are either Number, Letter, GK, and Meaningful Words based.
In Analogies, you have to find out the fourth blank part of the question to complete the set.
In both of these sections, out of the given options, you have to find out the most suitable alternative or the odd one out.

(B) Syllogism

In these questions, you will be given statements & Conclusions and you will have to decide which of the given conclusions logically follow(s) from the given statements.
The trick to avoiding confusion between the categories mentioned in different statements is to solve them by drawing Venn Diagrams.
Reading the question clearly and taking one step at a time will help avoid the overlapping of categories.

(C) Verbal Analogies
The trick to solve verbal analogies fast is to try to find the relationship between terms in the first pair.
Building up a strong vocabulary will be of great help to solve these questions on this topic.

Candidates can get to know about the moderately difficult questions being asked in the exams and tips to prepare for them below.

(A) Blood Relations
This includes General blood relation, Family tree, Coded blood Relation.
You can draw a tree diagram to help you solve these questions
Read the articles for understanding the basic tricks for figuring out this topic in one go: (1) General Understanding of Blood Relations and (2) Understanding Complex Relations.

(B) Seating Arrangement (Circular & Linear)
Linear Seating Arrangement includes, Floor Based, Persons, sitting in a single row / dual row.
All of them may be facing to one direction only (either north or south) or both directions north & south.
One more variable may be given to make the problem more complicated.
Circular Arrangement includes Uni & Bi-directional problems on circular, square, rectangular tables.
In Linear, do questions of Single or Double rows facing each other/ away from each other/ in the same direction.

Below are the sections from which most of the tricky questions are asked. Read about the questions and tips to prepare and practice to score these questions.

(A) Coding & Decoding
This includes Letter Shifting, Coding in Fictitious Language, Operation on place values, Coding by analogy, Coding by words, Conditional Matrix.
Pay attention to the numbers and alphabets in the given code.
Also, check if the sequences given in the questions are in an ascending or descending order.
To get the definite answers you should first check the pattern that the question follows.
