Most wickets in Cricket World Cup 2023

The top 10 cricketing nations in the world are competing for top honours at the ICC Men’s ODI Cricket World Cup 2023. The Cricket World Cup 2023 began on October 5 and the final will be held on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

  • This is the fourth time India has hosted the event, and the Men in Blue has already managed to name three victories.  
  • Started in 1975, the ODI Cricket World Cup is in its 13th edition. 
  • The 'most-wicket takers' is a highly coveted award during the ICC World Cup. The player with the most wickets is awarded "The Golden Ball Award."  The first time the award was given was in 1975. 
  • New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner rose to the top of the wicket-takers tally by claiming a three-for against Afghanistan on Wednesday. His compatriot Matt Henry is second, while India’s Jasprit Bumrah is third.
