RBI appoints Abhijit Chakravorty as SBI Card’s CEO

SBI Cards and Payment Services (SBI Card), reportedly appointed Abhijit Chakravorty as its new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Chakravorty presently a Deputy Managing Director at SBI will replace Rama Mohan Rao Amara who will cease from his post on 11 August.
The new MD, CEO will assume his role on 12 August, SBI Card notified in a filing with stock exchanges.
His tenure would be for the period of 2 years from appointment, it said additionally.
Chakravorty has a long association with the State Bank of India. He joined SBI in 1988 as a Probationary Officer.
