The award, presented by President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu at the State House in Suva, recognizes Sai's significant contributions to healthcare and social welfare in Fiji, notably through the establishment of the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital.

The 'Companion of the Order of Fiji' is the nation's highest civilian award, previously bestowed upon dignitaries such as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. ?
