Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta jointly launched the Ayushman Vay Vandana scheme on April 28, 2025. The scheme aims to provide senior citizens in Delhi with enhanced healthcare benefits through a combined health cover worth Rs.10 lakh annually.

Key Points:

• The Ayushman Vay Vandana scheme offers Rs.5 lakh coverage under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and an additional Rs.5 lakh from the Delhi government.
• Senior citizens aged 70 and above residing in Delhi are eligible for the benefits.
• Each beneficiary will receive an Ayushman Vay Vandana Card containing their health records, regular health check-up details, and emergency information.
