Veer Bal Diwas is annually observed across India on 26th December to mark the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas -  Sri Guru Gobind Singh's 4 sons of the 10th Sikh guru- Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who sacrificed their lives in the 17th century.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that Veer Bal Diwas would be celebrated on 26 December to commemorate the martyrdom of Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji.
• This announcement was made on 9 January during the Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
• Modi paid homage to the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas and underscored their enduring legacy as an inspiration for national unity and youth empowerment.
