In order to launch a joint hydrographic survey and strengthen maritime cooperation with Mauritius, INS Sarvekshak arrived at Port Louis on December 26.
- The engagement marks a significant step in bolstering maritime partnership between India and Mauritius.
- It also reflects shared commitment to regional development and deeper bilateral cooperation in line with India’s SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) vision.
Fostering maritime cooperation
INS Sarvekshak’s mission involves more than just survey operations. It will engage in technical knowledge exchanges, professional interactions, and training sessions on hydrography with Mauritian authorities.
These activities aim to empower Mauritius with the tools necessary for sustainable maritime infrastructure development, resource management, and coastal planning.
