The India International Science Festival (IISF), India’s largest science festival, kicked off on Saturday(30 Nov. to 3 Dec. 2024) at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) in Assam.

Key Highlights

• Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Inaugurated the festival.
• The theme of this 10th edition of IISF, which will conclude on December 3, is “Transforming India into an S&T-driven Global Manufacturing Hub”. 
• The stunning artwork of the Moon by by British artist Dr. Luke Jerram was the showstopper at the India International Science Festival.
• IISF is a unique festival of science society engagement which was initiated in the year 2015 and the very first IISF was organised at IIT Delhi.
• Vijnana Bharati, a science movement of India conceptualized this science festival.
