The former cricketer, Mithali Raj who captained the national team from 2004 to 2022 has been appointed as Andhra Pradesh’s mentor of Women’s Cricket Operations.

• Raj has signed a three-year contract with the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA).
• She made her debut in June 1999 against Ireland and is the only female cricketer to score more than 7,000 runs in Women’s One Day International matches.
• Her primary responsibility will be to scout and nurture young talent across the state, with a focus on developing the next generation of women cricketers.
• She retired from international cricket in 2022.
