The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) gave a green signal to Uttarakhand to host the 38th National Games from Jan 28 to Feb 14 next year.

• The National Winter Games would also be held simultaneously in the Himalayans state.
• The full programme for the games would be released in the general assembly meeting of the Indian Olympic Association on Oct 25.
• Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met IOA president PT Usha in New Delhi on Wednesday( 9 October 2024), and held a discussion about the national games.
