Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is setting up an IT facility in Andhra Pradesh, which will house up to 10,000 employees. The facility will be located in Visakhapatnam and is expected to generate a significant number of job opportunities in the region.

• The announcement was made by Nara Lokesh, Minister for Information Technology and Electronics (IT&E). 
• Lokesh had a meeting with Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran on Tuesday at Tata Group headquarters in Mumbai
• The decision of Tata Group came close on the heels of the recent announcement made by another IT major, HCL Technologies, to invest in Vizag. 
• This development is expected to generate a significant number of job opportunities in the region.
