The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced actor Kareena Kapoor Khan as UNICEF India National Ambassador and appointed the four UNICEF India Youth Advocates under the presence of Cynthia McCaffrey, UNICEF India Representative.

• UNICEF India also unveiled the 75 year UNICEF India logo.
• For the past 10 years, Kareena Kapoor has been UNICEF India’s Celebrity Advocate for girls’ education, gender equality, foundational learning, immunization, and breastfeeding.
• She has been a support in several of UNICEF’s global campaigns on #EveryChildRights. McCaffrey said that UNICEF is delighted to welcome Kareena Kapoor Khan as their National Ambassador building on her years of commitment to advance children’s rights.
